Apolinario Chile Pixtun is a respected international leader and elder of the indigenous Mayan people. He is a Mayan priest, spiritual guide and healer. He is a naturopathic doctor with training in indigenous practices, as well as a broad spectrum of healing and energy medicine modalities. He is a Timekeeper and Guardian of the Sacred Fire, and a custodian of the ancient knowledge of the Mayan prophecies. For many years he has trained Mayan priests (shamans/healers) in Guatemala and in other countries. He is the coordinator for over twenty organizations that work to defend and preserve indigenous knowledge and healing traditions on a national and international level, and has been at the United Nations representing the indigenous people from Central America on several occasions. He is the leader of the Gran Confederacion de Consejos Principales Ajq’ijab’ Originarios del Pueblo Mayab’ de Gautemal, C.A. Belice y Mexico, and co-ordinator of more than 90 Councils of Mayan Ajq’ijab (shaman/priests) of Guatemala, Central America and Latin America. His book, “The Prophecies Mayab’ Yesterday and Tomorrow”, published in 1994, has been translated into Spanish and English.For many years he has given conferences and workshops around the world on the Mayan prophecies, calendars, astrology, sacred writings, ceremonies and ancient healing traditions. He has been invited to Canada and the US on many occasions for ceremonies, trainings, and workshops within the Mayan and Latin American communities, as well as with the Native Elders from different nations such as the Mohawks, and Ojibways.
