			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong><a href="http://www.spiritmatterscommunity.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jack-miller1.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-409" title="jack miller1" src="http://www.spiritmatterscommunity.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jack-miller1-300x212.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="212" /></a>John (Jack) Miller</strong> has been working in the field of holistic education for over 30 years.  He is author/editor of 17 books on holistic learning and contemplative practices in education which include <em>Education and the Soul, The Holistic Curriculum </em>and<em> </em>most recently,<em> Transcendental Learning: The Educational Legacy of Alcott, Emerson, Fuller, Peabody and Thoreau</em>.  His writing has been translated into eight languages.  The <em>Holistic Curriculum</em> has provided the framework for the curriculum at the Whole Child School, now named Equinox school, in Toronto where Jack has served on the Advisory Board.</p>
<p>Jack has worked extensively with holistic educators in Japan, Korea and Hong Kong for the past 15 years and has been a visiting professor at universities in Japan and Hong Kong. In 2009 Jack was one of 24 educators invited to Bhutan to help that country develop their educational system so that it supports the country’s goal of Gross National Happiness.  He was recently invited to meeting at the United Nations where Bhutan’s vision of a  new economic paradigm based on Happiness and Wellbeing was presented.   Jack teaches courses on holistic education and spirituality education for graduate students and students in Initial Teacher Education Program at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto where he is Professor.</p>

<p>An African traditional Priest, Babalawo of Ifa, he was born in Ido-Osun, a small village between Ede and Osogbo in Osun State of Nigeria. As an artist, he has participated in several cultural television movies called Ifa Olokun Asoro Dayo, a weekly television programs about African traditions. He helped develop different social programs in Nigeria and Brazil. He was given the name of Adegboyega &#8211; Omo Odo Agba, a child that was brought up by the elders  and moving  around staging theatre from village to village.</p>
<p>Presently, he resides in Brazil, a Motivator speaker, Choreographer, Founder of an Organization called CENTRO CULTURAL ADIMULA-AFRIKAMBO since 1997 in Brazil and ADIMULA CULTURAL FOUNDATION, INC. MIAMI &#8211; FLORIDA<strong>,</strong> Founder of AFRIKAMBO DANCE GROUP<strong> </strong>in Brazil. Founder of an educational project between Brazil, Canada and United State of America, COLLEGE OF THE AMERICAS. He has organized many conferences, seminars and workshops in Brazil. He has travelled to many parts of the world speaking on African Traditions; he has travelled to many cities and states of Brazil speaking on the importance of African Traditions and religion in our societies. He has travelled around motivating people including in the prisons in Brazil, schools colleges and Universities, promoting the diffusion of the culture and ethnic values and educational incentive, developing projects which contribute to the ethnic identity and stimulate interpersonal citizenship.His organization promotes African culture, art, music, conferences, seminars and traditions. Najeem was a vivid presence in our first Spirit Matters gathering, calling in the ancestors into the OISE auditorium. He has supported the Spirit Matters rekindling of indigenous spirit ever since.</p>
