Meet ADEGBOYEGA NAJEEM HAMMED
An African traditional Priest, Babalawo of Ifa, he was born in Ido-Osun, a small village between Ede and Osogbo in Osun State of Nigeria. As an artist, he has participated in several cultural television movies called Ifa Olokun Asoro Dayo, a weekly television programs about African traditions. He helped develop different social programs in Nigeria and Brazil. He was given the name of Adegboyega – Omo Odo Agba, a child that was brought up by the elders and moving around staging theatre from village to village.
Presently, he resides in Brazil, a Motivator speaker, Choreographer, Founder of an Organization called CENTRO CULTURAL ADIMULA-AFRIKAMBO since 1997 in Brazil and ADIMULA CULTURAL FOUNDATION, INC. MIAMI – FLORIDA, Founder of AFRIKAMBO DANCE GROUP in Brazil. Founder of an educational project between Brazil, Canada and United State of America, COLLEGE OF THE AMERICAS. He has organized many conferences, seminars and workshops in Brazil. He has travelled to many parts of the world speaking on African Traditions; he has travelled to many cities and states of Brazil speaking on the importance of African Traditions and religion in our societies. He has travelled around motivating people including in the prisons in Brazil, schools colleges and Universities, promoting the diffusion of the culture and ethnic values and educational incentive, developing projects which contribute to the ethnic identity and stimulate interpersonal citizenship.His organization promotes African culture, art, music, conferences, seminars and traditions. Najeem was a vivid presence in our first Spirit Matters gathering, calling in the ancestors into the OISE auditorium. He has supported the Spirit Matters rekindling of indigenous spirit ever since.
